This is the Nagasaki nuclear bomb "Fatman". It contains of a core of plutonium/beryllium/uranium in the center of the bomb. The orange coverage round the core is trad. expolsive material, which concentrates the explosive force against the core. Where then a critical mass state will occur and the nuclear chain reaction ejects. The bomb explodes !
